SOBER IS FINE EVENT
Amalu X 3rd Ljubljana Sports Festival

AMALU at the Ljubljana Sports Festival: Because dancing, even at an electronic music party, is still a sport
The AMALU project, already recognized for its SOBER IS FINE event series, is joining the 3rd Ljubljana Sports Festival in Tivoli Park on September 6. With a special electronic program led by ESTORA – the new artistic name of renowned musician Gaja Prestor – the aim is to show that dancing to electronic music is a form of movement that needs no alcoholic encouragement.
“Dancing at electronic music events is an intense physical activity that requires endurance, coordination, and strength – all attributes of sport,” explains Senka Umek, founder of the AMALU brand. The collaboration with the City of Ljubljana, which is organizing the Ljubljana Sports Festival for the third year, is no coincidence. Both projects advocate an alcohol-free philosophy – the festival, with the Safe Journey Institute’s slogan ‘Clear Zero, Clear Conscience’, promotes sport without alcohol and without screens, while AMALU, with its Sober is Fine ethos, proves that the best parties need no intoxicating substances.
A full-day program for all generations
AMALU will deliver a full-day electronic experience:
- 12:00–14:00: Mini DJ Academy
- 14:00–15:50: DJ Dejvi – transitioning into the afternoon program with energetic beats
- 16:00: ESTORA – the day’s highlight with a two-hour set
Estora – the rising star of Slovenian electronic music

The electronic set will be performed by ESTORA, the alter ego of acclaimed Slovenian artist Gaja Prestor, who entered the world of electronic music under the mentorship of Slovenian DJ icon Uroš Umek. “At electronic events, I realized that music can unite people in a way that surpasses anything I’d experienced before. When I see people moving freely, their bodies becoming one with the rhythm – it’s pure sporting ecstasy. You don’t need alcohol or a screenwhen you have that kind of connection, that kind of energy,” says Gaja Prestorabout her new musical journey and philosophy, perfectly aligned with AMALU’s mission.
“We are pleased that the Ljubljana Sports Festival, through its Šport je lajv project, recognizes dance as an equal form of movement. This is an important step in destigmatizing electronic music and acknowledging that it isa culture that can exist and thrive without alcohol,” adds Senka Umek.
The program will run alongside sports activities, allowing visitors to move between different forms of physical activity – from the Tek dvojk relay run to dancing to electronic beats. Entry to the festival is free, and the organizers encouragesustainable arrival by bike, on foot, or via free LPP public transport.
This will mark another milestone for Amalu the brand, unveiling its clothing collection live to the public for the very first time and offering the pieces for purchase at its exclusive pop-up shop.
